the Hope Kids Princess Party

Last year I met a beautiful little princess who was fighting a horrible dragon, cancer. I was brought to her through my work (aprincessparty.net) and through an organization called HOPE KIDS...a non-profit group that puts together events and activities for kids with life-threatening illnesses and for their families. For more info on Hope Kids go to http://hopekids.org/

I was inspired by this little girl and the Hope Kids organization that I wanted to help and I figured out a way that I could! With SO MANY volunteers and SO MANY donations and SO MUCH support we pulled it off! The first Hope Kids Princess Party was a success! (here's one of the articles from last year: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700031968/Hope-Kids-offers-a-modern-fairy-tale-for-children-with-illnesses.htmlCinderella invited them all to her castle for a night of meeting all her other princess friends and dining and dancing. It was truly the most magical night of my life and I know it meant a lot to these precious children and their families. It gave a lot of them an opportunity they might have never had.

Hope Kids has grown A LOT this last year and so I am going to do it again!

For now, I am just raising money for the event.

If you would like to donate--BECOME A FAIRY GODMOTHER-- it's only $7.00 to sponsor a princess. This covers the cost of each princess for the event plus the cost of the food. They get to meet all the princesses, dance, dine, and even ride in a real horse drawn carriage, all at The Castle in Layton (which, if you haven't seen it, it looks like a REAL castle! It's awesome and they are SO great to donate SO MUCH to this event!)

Just because there was some confusion last year this is not an event you actually come to, (unless you are a volunteer for the actual event) this is an event that by sponsoring a princess, you make it possible for a Hope Kid child to attend the event and you are making a little girl's dreams come true! Thank you!

To become a FAIRY GODMOTHER
Just go to
http://www.hopekids.org/index.aspx
and click on DONATE NOW and then in the box that says DESIGNATION type in PRINCESS PARTY

For every $7.00 donated one more Hope Kid Princess gets an invitation to this event.

I know money is tight, especially now, so any small amount will help out A LOT! Even if it's just a dollar or two.

Or if you have any services that you think would be helpful to this event, please send me a message through a comment with your email or number and I will get back to you.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I really couldn't do any of this with out you! Thank you for making it possible for these little children.

The little girl that inspired the event was not able to attend, because she had moved on, to her castle in the sky. I am doing this for her and for all the other children who have battled dragons of illness and for all of those precious children who are still in the line of fire and for all of the precious children who have won, whether it was by death or by living. It is a dragon of chance and my first wish is that no one would ever have to face these dragons, but since that wish has yet to come true, I am going to try and make some of these little princesses and princes' wishes come true.

I will keep you posted as it all starts to unfold. I am very excited!

Thanks for everything!

Love,
Linsey

p.s. The picture I posted for this event is a precious little 4 year old from last year's party. A picture really is worth a thousand words! Isn't she so precious?! It's my favorite.
